In fact, Raju Pal Prayagraj, husband of SP MLA Pooja Pal, was an MLA from West Assembly seat. Those who were murdered in 2005. In this case, the allegation was on Atik Ahmed’s family. At the same time, Atik Ahmed was killed in April 2023 when he was being taken for medical checkup. Now SP MLA Pooja Pal in the assembly has thanked CM Yogi for mixing mafia in Prayagraj.

In Pooja Pal, he said in the House, “I want to thank the Honorable Chief Minister who has worked to see my hidden tears. Nobody did the work of seeing in years. My grief, my problem, the Honorable Chief Minister worked to see. And in the true sense, he gave me justice and gave justice to give justice.” He further said, “I do not know how much I do not know how much the victim’s family has done justice to such criminals by punishing such criminals.”

In 2002, Raju Pal contested against Atik Ahmed from Prayagraj West Assembly seat for the first time, but lost. In 2004, Atiq became MP from Phulpur seat of Lok Sabha and left the assembly seat for his brother Khalid Azim alias Ashraf. In this by -election, Mayawati gave ticket to Atik’s staunch opponent Raju Pal in front of Atik, close to Mulayam Singh Yadav. The result was shocking. Raju Pal defeated Khalid Azim by a slight margin of 4,818 votes. This defeat was a major injury to the Atiq family, as Atiq dominated this seat since 1989. After this Raju Pal was murdered by Atik’s operatives.

Pooja Pal’s husband Raju Pal was murdered only a few days after her marriage. Actually, the reason behind this murder was electoral rivalry. Raju Pal defeated Atik Ahmed’s brother Ashraf in the election. Subsequently, in February 2023, Umesh Pal, a prominent witness of Raju murder, was shot dead in Sulem Sarai area of Prayagraj. Several rounds of firing and bombs were thrown at Umesh and his gunners. Atik Ahmed and his brother Ashraf Ahmed were the main accused. Both were arrested by the police. On the night of April 15, 2023, while carrying a medical examination in Prayagraj, he was shot dead by people who came in disguise.
