EC’s befitting reply to Rahul Gandhi- Do not make false nervous with dirty words!

The political fierce fierce has intensified over the special intensive revision (SIR) campaign run to review the voter list in Bihar. Many opposition parties, including the Congress, are making serious allegations against the Election Commission of ‘vote theft’ on this campaign.
The Election Commission has strongly objected to the use of words like Rahul Gandhi’s ‘vote theft’, saying that making false native using such ‘dirty’ words is not only an insult to crores of Indian voters, but also a direct attack on the honesty of millions of election workers.
The Commission clarified that the process of amending the voter list is done under transparent and rules, which aims to prepare an accurate and reliable voter list.
With the commencement of the voter list amendment process in Bihar, the opposition parties started making serious allegations against the Election Commission and the government. Opposition leaders say that through this campaign, the names of legitimate voters are being removed from the voter list.
They believe that all this is being done for electoral benefits. Protests are taking place on this issue from Parliament to the road and now this matter has also reached the Supreme Court, where its legal battle has started.
Rahul Gandhi has attacked the Election Commission on public forums and social media many times on this issue. He has directly accused the Commission of ‘vote theft’, causing this dispute deepening. It is only after his allegations that the Election Commission retaliated and clarified its position. The Commission has said that such allegations raise questions on the fairness and credibility of the institution, which is not good for democracy.
This dispute is questioning the fairness of the Indian election system. While on the one hand the Election Commission is justifying its processes, on the other hand the opposition parties are calling it part of a political conspiracy. It will be interesting to see what stance the Supreme Court takes in this case and whether the Election Commission is able to maintain its credibility.
