Speaking to IANS on Thursday, he said that opposition parties are protesting against SIR, while the Supreme Court has given the Election Commission the right to voter verification. This process is to remove fake and dead voters, which is not a violation of voters’ rights.
The Commission has asked the lawyers of the opposition parties that how is SIR wrong?
According to the former BJP MP, SIR is perfect. The Commission has the right to conduct voter verification. He said that it is necessary to exclude the fake voters who are dead in the voter list, who are dead or left Bihar and settled in other states.
The former BJP MP termed the statement of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Manoj Jha as a Taliban comment, in which he said on the statement boycott of Tejashwi Yadav, including ‘Vote Theft’ SIR, that people could boycott the election, as was seen in Bangladesh.
On this statement of Manozh Jha, former BJP MP Sushil Singh retaliated and said that such comments are like Taliban statements. It is a constitutional institution and such comments are similar to mental harassment of the officers working in it. I condemn such statements.
