New Housing Initiative in Telangana
On Wednesday, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy instructed officials to devise a plan for allocating 'Bhudhar' numbers for land in the state. During a meeting with the Revenue and Housing Department, Reddy also directed the preparation for inaugurating homes built under the government's 'Indiramma Indlu' housing scheme aimed at assisting the underprivileged.
An official statement revealed that officials informed Reddy about the completion of a significant number of houses under this scheme across various districts in the state.
The 'Indiramma Indlu' initiative in Telangana is a residential program designed to provide financial assistance to eligible, landless, and homeless families for constructing permanent homes on their own plots. Under this scheme, beneficiaries receive a financial aid of five lakh rupees for construction purposes. Previously, the state government had considered assigning land numbers similar to Aadhaar cards.
