Haryana cabinet minister Anil Vij on Thursday launched a verbal attack on the Congress over the partition of the country during a media interaction in Ambala. He alleged that the party divided the country on the basis of religion, which can never be forgiven.
Vij said that the partition of 1947 is not only the grief of those who were displaced at that time or whose families were killed, but it is the pain of the whole country.

Anil Vij said that Hindustan was divided by separating Hindus and Muslims, while the Congress used to call itself a secular party. He raised the question as to why the Congress leaders did not oppose this partition by citing secularism and why did not stop Bharat Mata.

He alleged that the Congress cut the mother of India. Vij said that if needed, he should have fought more fighting, but he did not do so.

Controversy also arose over the list of flag hoisting in Haryana amid preparations for the Independence Day celebrations. In the list released three times, the first twice the cabinet minister and senior BJP leader Anil Vij was not named, his name was included in the third list.

Reacting to this, Vij said that whether it is second time or third time, if he gets a chance to hoist the tricolor on the moon, he will definitely go, it is still Yamunanagar.

During this, he also took a dig at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi. Recently, on filing a petition in the court regarding security on behalf of Rahul Gandhi’s lawyer, Rahul Gandhi already has Z Plus security, which is the highest level of security.

He satirized and said that now the question is whether Rahul Gandhi is lying or his lawyer, it should be decided first.
