Droupadi Murmu on Indian Economy: India’s President Draupadi Murmu said on Thursday that despite problems in the global economy, India is one of the fastest growing economies in the world with a 6.5 percent economic growth rate in the last financial year. Along with this, there is control of inflation and exports are increasing. He also said in his address to the nation on the eve of Independence Day that India is on the way to become a developed economy by 2047.

President Murmu said that India is the fastest growing country in the world’s major economies with a growth rate of 6.5 percent in the last financial year. Despite the problems prevailing in the global economy, domestic demand is increasing rapidly. There is control over inflation. Export is increasing. All major indicators are reflecting the strong status of the economy.

A large number of people came out of poverty

Draupadi Murmu said that this is the result of hard work and dedication of our workers and farmers and siblings as well as efficient economic management. He also mentioned that a large number of people have been taken out of poverty through good governance. The government is running many welfare schemes for the poor, people who have come above the poverty line but are not in a strong position, they also have the security of such schemes so that they do not go down from the poverty line again. These welfare efforts are reflected in increasing expenses on social services.

Poverty-richness is decreasing

The President further said in his address that the inequality of income is decreasing. Regional inequalities are also decreasing. The states and regions that were previously known for weak economic performance are now displaying their real potential and moving towards equalizing with leading states. Our leading businessmen, small and medium entrepreneurs and traders have always shown the feeling of doing something.

Roads expanded through Bharatmala project

The President further said that we have expanded and strengthened the National Highway Network under the Bharatmala Project. Railway Has also encouraged innovation and new types of trains and coaches with latest technology are being used. Kashmir Inaugurating railway contacts in the valley is a major achievement.
