PM Modi praises RSS Centenary Larget Ngo in the World

Addressing the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the occasion of 79th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (August 15) praised the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and described it as the world’s largest non-governmental organization. He said that the establishment of RSS is completing 100 years this year and this organization has always been active in nation building.

The Prime Minister said, “Today, I want to say with pride that an organization was born 100 years ago – Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). 100 years of service to the nation is a proud, golden chapter. With the resolve of ‘nation building from individual creation’, For the purpose of welfare of Maa Bharti, volunteers dedicated their lives to the welfare of the motherland… In a way, the RSS is the largest NGO in the world. It has a history of 100 years of dedication. ”

Praising the Sangh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “We are proud of its journey and selfless service done by it towards the nation.” He credited the organization for contributing to social welfare, disaster relief and community construction for decades.

The RSS’s Sarsanghchalak is Mohan Bhagwat, this year, from August 26, he is going to organize a grand ceremony to commemorate its centenary year. Its main program will be held from 26 to 28 August under the title ‘100 Year of Association Yatra New Horizon’. In this event, Shri Bhagwat will communicate with various sections of the society. The program will have lectures, dialogues and discussions with 17 areas – such as media, diplomacy, religion and education. Similar programs will also be held in November in Bangalore, and Kolkata and Mumbai in February next year.

Diplomats of all countries will be invited to the event, but the invitation will not be sent to the ambassadors of Pakistan, Türkiye and Bangladesh. The Prime Minister’s statement once again underlined the RSS’s role in nation building on the national platform, while the organization has also increased curiosity for the ceremony to be held on the completion of 100 years.
