“Blood and water will not flow together”
Prime Minister Modi spoke openly on the Indus River Water Agreement. He said, “India has decided that blood and water cannot flow together. The water of Indian rivers is watering the fields of enemies, but now India will get its right water.” He clearly said that the farmers of India have the first right over this agreement. Describing it as unilateral and unjust, the PM said, “This agreement is no longer accepted in the national interest.”
“India will not tolerate nuclear threats”
PM Modi in his address also emphasized the security of the country. He said, “India will no longer tolerate blackmailing of nuclear threats.” Referring to Operation Sindoor, he said, “From the Red Fort, today I have got the opportunity to salute the brave soldiers of Operation Sindoor. Our heroes decorated the enemies beyond their thinking.”
Pahalgam incident and operation vermilion
The PM referred to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which shook the entire country. He said, “The terrorists from across the border murdered people by asking religion. The husband was gunned down in front of his wife, the father was killed in front of the children.” This incident shocked the whole world. The PM said, “The whole of India was in anger, and Operation Sindoor is an expression of the same anger.”
“This time the gift of double Diwali”
The Prime Minister promised the countrymen to make Diwali more special this time. He said, “This Diwali, I am going to make it a double Diwali for you. The countrymen are going to get a big gift.” The PM spoke about major reforms in GST. “We have improved GST in the last eight years, and now the next generation is going to bring GST reforms,” he said.
GST reform: Relief for common man
PM Modi said that tax on common needs will be reduced to a great extent. This will give great relief to the common people. Also, small and medium industries will also benefit from this. He said, “Our small and medium industries will get a lot of strength, and the country’s economy will be stronger.”
