Independence Day 2025 pm Modi Longest Speech Ever

On the occasion of 79th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the longest speech of his tenure from the ramparts of the Red Fort on Friday (August 15). In this address which lasted for 103 minutes, he announced many big government programs and spoke in detail on issues ranging from national security to economic reforms. The speech crossed his 98 -minute record of 2024.

PM Modi announced the introduction of ‘Developed India Employment Scheme’, which aims to give new pace to employment generation in the country. Along with this, he also informed about the implementation of Next-Generation GST Reforms and starting ‘Sudarshan Chakra Mission’. According to him, these steps will further strengthen India from economic and technical terms.

PM Modi’s 2025 speech was the longest in all his previous Independence Day addresses. In 2024, he gave a speech for 98 minutes and about 90 minutes in 2023. The 2016 and 2019 speeches were 96 and 92 minutes long respectively. The shortest speech of his tenure was 56 minutes in 2017.

The record for the longest Independence Day speech before becoming Prime Minister was the name of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who gave his address for about 72 minutes in 1947. At the same time, the record of the shortest speeches on Independence Day is also in the name of Nehru and Indira Gandhi-both gave 14-14 minutes of speeches. The speeches of Dr. Manmohan Singh and Atal Bihari Vajpayee have also been smaller than the present Prime Minister.

In his 103 -minute address, Modi included topics to national security, economic policies, technology development, infrastructure and social welfare. He said that India’s goal is not limited to economic progress, but also to raise technical self -reliance, global competition and the standard of living of every citizen. This long speech will be remembered not only for breaking records, but also to present the government’s broad vision and roadmap for the future.
