
On the occasion of India’s 79th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort. At the beginning of his speech, he gave the message of freedom to the countrymen by hoisting the tricolor for the 12th consecutive time. During this time, the Prime Minister made many important announcements to technological progress, energy self -reliance and economic reforms. The biggest announcement was, India will launch its own semiconductor chips by the end of 2025.
Historical initiative on semiconductor construction
Prime Minister Modi said in his address that the semecondor manufacturing plant was discussed decades ago. This idea was revealed about 50–60 years ago, but it could not be implemented at that time. He regretted that India lost a lot of time in this direction in these years. However, now the country is working in mission mode to meet this deficiency.
PM Modi said that by the end of this year, Made in India semiconductor chips will be available in the market. This will not only be a major step towards technical self -sufficiency, but will also help India to get an important place in the semiconductor industry globally.
India towards technology -run century
In his speech, the Prime Minister described the 21st century as a technology -run century and said that in the coming time, the same countries will move forward who will lead in the technical field. Semiconductor chips will be its basic basis, as they are used in mobile, computer, automobile, defense equipment and other modern technical means. India’s goal is to play an important role in the global supply chain and bring the country’s economy to new heights.
There will be so much investment in four new units
Let us tell you that work is going on in six semiconductor plant in India. Apart from this, the Central Government has approved the plan to set up four new semiconductor plants in four states. Four new semiconductor projects will be set up in Odisha, Punjab and Andhra Pradesh. There will be a total investment of Rs 4,594 crore in these projects.
Actually, the government had already approved six semiconductor projects. Now four more new projects have been added, due to which the total number of approved projects has increased to ten. This decision is an important part of the mission to make India a ‘digital superpower’, which will increase the capacity of chip production in the country.
At the same time, the Prime Minister connected technological development with energy self -reliance and said that India is working rapidly in the field of solar energy, hydrogen energy and nuclear power. He informed that India has achieved great achievement in clean energy capacity and 50% of the target set by 2030 has been completed five years ago. This step will not only help in environmental protection, but will also contribute to making India a global leader in the field of energy.
New employment scheme for youth
Prime Minister Modi also made a big announcement about the youth. He informed that the government is going to start a new employment scheme with an investment of 1 trillion rupee. Its purpose is to provide employment opportunities to millions of youth across the country. The scheme will strengthen startups, technology, green energy and manufacturing sectors and will give new pace to India’s economy.
