Semiconductor controversy: Addressing the nation on the 79th Independence Day, PM Narendra Modi said that the first semiconductor chip manufactured in India will be launched in the market by the end of this year. During this time, he accused the previous governments of killing the idea of the semiconductor up to 50-60 in the womb. On which the Congress has retaliated and described PM Modi as false.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh shared some part of PM Modi’s speech on social media platform X. In which he is speaking about the semiconductor. With this, Ramesh wrote, “Another example of how deranged false is Mr. Modi is another example. The semiconductor Complex Limited, established in Chandigarh, started operations in 1983.” Let me tell you that PM Narendra Modi said in his address to the ramparts of the Red Fort, “When we talk about various aspects of technology, I attract your attention to the example of semiconductor. I do not come to the Red Fort to criticize any government; I do not want to do so. But the youth of the country should know about it.”

PM Modi further said, “The file work on the semiconductor started in our country 50-60 years ago. The idea of the semiconductor factory came out 50-60 years ago. You will be surprised to know that the semector’s idea was killed in the womb itself 50-60 years ago. We lost 50-60 years.”
