
Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hoisted the tricolor at the main function held at the parade ground in Dehradun on the occasion of 79th Independence Day. On this special occasion, he honored the families of the freedom fighters and also visited a photo exhibition. Many people were honored for excellent services and great performance in sports at the ceremony. At the same time, CM made six big announcements for the development of the state, which promises to give new direction to Uttarakhand.
Police and sports stars honored
On this occasion, the Chief Minister honored Additional Director General of Police Ajay Prakash Anshuman with the President’s Special Service Medal. In addition, Shweta Chaubey (Commandant IRB II, Dehradun), Yogesh Chandra (Deputy Superintendent of Police), Vipin Chandra Pathak and Narendra Singh Bisht (Inspector Citizen Police), Rakesh Chandra Bhatt (Sub Inspector), Ajay Prakash Semwal (Leading Fireman), and Sunit Kumar (Chief Reserve) were awarded the Chief Ministerial Service Medal.
Shekhar Chandra Suyal (Additional Superintendent of Police), Rajendra Singh Kholia, Kailash Chandra Bhatt (Inspector Citizen Police), Manohar Singh Rawat, Omkant Bhushan, Deepak Kumar (Sub Inspector), Gopal Ram (Chief Reserve), Amarjeet and Rahul (Reserve) also received commendable service medals for specific works. Priya Rana, Manisha Chauhan, Rahul Saranalia, Amisha Chauhan, Vishm Kashyap, Amit Belwal and Mehak Chauhan were honored for their best performance in the Games.
Six big announcements of CM
Chief Minister Dhami made six important announcements for the development of Uttarakhand on the occasion of Independence Day. These included providing gas cylinders and stove in schools under the mid-day meal scheme, installation of 10-10 hand pumps in areas with drinking water, increase of Rs 1000 in the honorarium of village watchman and village guards, increasing the honorarium of block representatives of Sainik Welfare Department, setting up special educational centers at district level, and other Himalayan Glaciers with the study of Objalain There are plans to do.
Salute to heroes, condolences to disaster affected people
CM Dhami paid tribute to freedom fighters and sacrifices of Uttarakhand State Movement. He expressed condolences to the families affected by natural disasters in different parts of the state including Dharali of Uttarkashi. He said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Army, ITBP, NDRF, SDRF and the state government showed readiness in relief and rescue work in disaster affected areas. Rehabilitation works will be completed with rapid and sensitivity.
India’s progress and Uttarakhand’s contribution
The Chief Minister said that in the 78 -year freedom journey, India has made its mark as a self -reliant and strong nation, facing many challenges. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is growing rapidly towards becoming a fully developed nation by 2047. Today India is the fourth largest economy in the world. Rapid progress is being made in areas like defense, science, agriculture, health and education. Under ‘Operation Sindoor’, India has got its strength ironed.
Describing Uttarakhand as Devbhoomi as well as Veer Bhoomi, the CM said that the state government is engaged in improving basic facilities like education, health, roads, electricity, drinking water and air connectivity. Uttarakhand is rapidly emerging in the fields of religious tourism, wellness tourism, adventure tourism and wedding destination. An MoUs worth Rs 3.56 lakh crore were signed at the Global Investors Summit, out of which projects worth Rs 1 lakh crore have landed on the ground in one and a half years. Kichha Khurpia Farm is also being built in Smart Industrial Township and a 200 million venture fund for startups.
New flight to sports and tourism
The government has taken several steps towards making Uttarakhand a sports land. Uttarakhand finished seventh by winning 103 medals in the National Games. Under the Sports Legacy Plan, 23 sports academies will be made in 8 cities. To promote yoga and spiritual tourism, ‘Spiritual Economic Zones’ will be established in Garhwal and Kumaon. The ‘House of Himalayan’ brand has promoted organic products, while the Home Stay Scheme has given new opportunities for self -employment. A subsidy of Rs 200 crore is being given for farmers for interest -free loan, farm machinery bank and polyhouse construction. Schemes like apple, kiwi, dragon fruit and millet mission have also been launched.
Emphasis on tourism and infrastructure
CM said that pilgrimage and tourism are the basis of the economy of Uttarakhand. Projects like new tourism policy, Kedarkhand and Manaskhand Mandirmala Mission, Yamuna Tirtha Site, Haridwar-Rishikesh Corridor and Sharda Corridor are rapidly working. The Apuni Sarkar portal, e-cabinet, CM helpline and Digital Uttarakhand app have made the work culture transparent. Projects like Delhi-Dehradun Elevated Road, Vande Bharat Express, Rishikesh-Karnprayag Rail and Udaan Yojana are strengthening infrastructure.
Employment and social reforms
More than 24 thousand youths have got government jobs after strict anti -copying law came into force in the state. The unemployment rate has decreased by 4.4%. GSDP has increased by 1.3 times and per capita income has increased by 11.33%. Uttarakhand became the first state to implement the Uniform Civil Code Act. The anti -conversion law has been further tightened, and more than 7000 acres of government land has been freed from encroachment. Under ‘Operation Kalnemi’, strict action is being taken against those who defame Sanatan Dharma.
Former Chief Minister Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal, Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt, Naresh Bansal, MLA Khazanadas, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, DGP Deepam Seth, and district administration officials were present at the ceremony.
