
Bhubaneswar: Promising Odisha shuttler Vishakha Toppo has been selected to represent India at the BWF World Junior Championship to be held in Guwahati from October 6 to 19.
Sundargarh girl Vishakha has been picked for the Team as well as Individual events.
India have been seeded No. 2 in the Team competition, which will be played from October 6 to 11. The hosts find themselves in a relatively easy Group H, alongside Hong Kong, Nepal and Ghana.
The group toppers will advance to the quarter-finals.
A total of 37 teams will take part in the prestigious global junior badminton event, which returns to India after 2008.
Second-seeded India will compete in Group H alongside Hong Kong, Nepal, and Ghana.
The Individual competition will be held from October 13 to 19.
