
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): On the occasion of Independence Day, Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari urged party members to serve society with open hearts.
A large number of party leaders gathered at the PCC office in the morning to attend the programme. Patwari called upon members to raise their voices against injustice in society.
He said that the Congress party has always held its head high against British rule and never tolerated injustice.
After the programme, the PCC president met members and also participated in the Tiranga Yatra organised by Congress MLA Atif Aqueel.
79th Independence Day Anniversary Celebrated at Waqf Board Headquarters
The 79th anniversary of the country’s Independence Day was celebrated at the Waqf Board Headquarters, where Board President Sanwar Patel hoisted the national flag.
In his address, Patel referred to the messages delivered by the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister to the people of the country and the state.
He said that Madrasa Hamidia — where the Tricolour was hoisted — is the oldest historical madrasa in Bhopal. He further stressed the need to constantly educate the younger generation about how the country gained independence, adding that it is the duty of every citizen to share India’s vast history with them.
The programme was attended by Shahar Qazi Mushtaq Ali Nadvi, BJP Minority Cell State President M. Ejaz Khan, Board CEO Farzana Ghazal, and several other members.
