No IAS in UP is eligible with Anjaney Singh, record made to stay on deputation, hope to stay further

Moradabad Commissioner Anjaney Singh had taken continuous action against former minister Azam Khan. IAS officer Anjaney Singh belongs to Sikkim cadre. He came on deputation in 2015 in UP. While Rampur DM, he took many action on Azam Khan and Abdullah Azam. The fiery IAS officer Anjaney Singh is again in the news. On 14 August, the deputation period of Anjaneya Singh, posted as the Commissioner of Moradabad division, was completed. He has gone on leave by handing over his charge to DM Anuj Singh of Moradabad. He was famous for strict action against former minister Azam Khan while being DM in Rampur.

In the administrative system of Uttar Pradesh, Anjaney Kumar Singh’s name has been in continuous discussion for the last ten years. Anjaney Kumar, a 2005 batch IAS officer of Sikkim cadre, has been working on deputation in UP since 2015. Let us know that on 14 August 2025, his deputation period was completed and he has taken a holiday by handing over the charge to District Magistrate Anuj Singh. But the question is now arising whether his term may increase once again. Anjaneya Kumar’s name came into the limelight especially during his posting in Rampur district when he was the District Magistrate there. Please tell that he had taken strict administrative steps against former minister Azam Khan. These actions made him into the limelight and due to this, there was a sharp response in political circles.

Constant expansion in tenure

Anjaneya Kumar Singh’s tenure in Uttar Pradesh has been a long and influential administrative journey rather than just a regular deputation. His innings, which started with deputation in UP in 2015, gradually took expansion. He was first given a six -month service extension in February 2024. After this, in August 2024, at the request of the Uttar Pradesh government once again, the central government extended his tenure for one year which ended on 14 August 2025. Thus, his tenure in UP lasted for ten consecutive years, which is considered a special and extraordinary achievement for any IAS officer.

If sources are to be believed, no new order has been received from the Central Government yet, but it is believed that another service expansion is possible, given the ability to decide even under administrative stability, their discipline, and pressure. It is being considered positively at the government level.
