Fastag annual pass: The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has started Fastag Annual Pass from Independence Day (15 August 2025). This new annual pass will be valid on about 1,150 toll plazas on selected National Highway and National Expressway (NE) across the country. Its booking and activation facility was made available online from August 15, so that people can easily take advantage of this pass by sitting at home. On the very first day of launching, this pass received tremendous response from passengers.
1.39 lakh transactions recorded on the first day
According to NHAI, about 1.4 lakh users bought and activated Fastag Annual Pass by 7 pm on the first day. Along with this, about 1.39 lakh transactions were recorded at the toll plaza. It is being told that about 20-25 thousand users are using highway travel app all the time. At the same time, pass users have also received SMS for zero deduction on toll charge.
Special arrangement for the convenience of passengers
NHAI has appointed officers and nodal officers at every toll plaza keeping in mind the convenience of Fastag Annual Pass holders. In addition, if a user has any problem to the pass, more than 100 officers have been added to its solution and the National Highway Helpline 1033 has been further strengthened.
An annual pass will be available for 3 thousand rupees
Fastag Annual Pass has been priced at Rs 3,000. This pass will be valid for one year or maximum 200 trips (whatever is completed earlier). It can be purchased and activated through NHAI’s official website or highway trip (Rajmargyatra) mobile app.
Facility for private vehicles only
The important thing is that this facility is limited to private vehicles like car, jeep and van only. This pass will not apply to commercial vehicles. Currently, the entry rate of Fastag is more than 98 percent and has more than 8 crore users across the country. With this new annual pass, Fastag has once again revolutionized the electronic toll collection system.
