Fire Incident in Bengaluru
A devastating fire broke out at a plastic manufacturing unit near K.R. Market in the Nagarathpet area of Bengaluru, resulting in the deaths of five individuals from the same family. Authorities have confirmed the incident.
The deceased have been identified as Madan Singh (38), Sangeeta (33), their two children Ritesh (7) and Vihaan (5), along with their neighbor Suresh Kumar (26).
According to police reports, Madan Singh hailed from Rajasthan and had been renting the building for nearly a decade. He operated a small factory that produced plastic goods and mats, residing on the top floor of the structure.
Authorities suspect that a short circuit may have triggered the fire. A fire department official stated that they received the alert around 3:14 AM.
To combat the blaze, eight fire engines were deployed, with 55 firefighters and 21 officers on-site. An official noted, 'This is a type of warehouse filled with a significant amount of materials, making it challenging to control the fire.' They also mentioned that the building is located in a densely populated commercial area of the city.
