The death toll in the rain in Pakistan has been increasing continuously since the end of June. The Pakistani government is unable to take its own people to a safe place. The public is seeking help from the government in begging, but the government is not ready to hear anything. Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority spokesperson Tayyab Shah said that at present, heavy rains will continue on 22 August. Apart from this, in September, there can be a period of heavy monsoon rains two to three times. Shah said that this year monsoon rains are up to 60 percent more than the previous year. Tayyab Shah said that this time the monsoon rain is so high that the most havoc has occurred compared to the last several years. According to NDMA, 657 people have died so far. These include 171 children, 94 women and 392 men. Apart from this, about one thousand people have been injured since 26 June. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has the highest number of deaths in rain - incidents. Here 394 people have died in house collapse or other incidents due to rain. These dead include 59 children and 43 women.
