Why do UPI transactions fail?
Many times, UPI transactions fail due to heavy load on the bank server. Not only this, but many times UPI payment fails due to a poor internet connection. Apart from this, UPI transactions can also fail due to the UPI or bank server being down. Due to all these reasons, your UPI payment can also go into pending. Many times, money is deducted, and the money is not able to reach the other person, so let's know when that money will come back.
When do you get the money back?
In most cases, it has been seen that the amount deducted from the account is returned within a few hours of UPI payment failure. If such a problem has occurred due to a network or server problem, then it may take 24 hours for the refund. In very bad conditions, it can also increase to 3 to 5 days, but your money will definitely be returned.
File a complaint
If money has been deducted from your account, do not make the payment again immediately. Instead, go to the app and check the status of the transaction history. If your money is not returned within 24 or 72 hours, then go to the help or support section of the app and file a complaint. If the problem is not resolved even with the app support, then you can also file a complaint directly with the bank. Tell your whole story by giving the bank transaction number. After this, the bank will have to return your money within 30 days.
