Hong Kong actress Carman Lee revealed that she was stopped by customs officers at a Thailand airport, who suspected her of using a fake passport because she looked far younger than her age.

According to Znews, ETtoday reported that Lee said in a recent interview that her youthful appearance prompted the officers to scrutinize her passport while she was traveling in Thailand. According to her, the officer questioned her closely, asking: “Is this really your passport? Did you steal it?” and “You don’t look your age at all.” Faced with the interrogation, the actress said she could only smile wryly.

Her story quickly drew attention on social media, with fans praising her for looking decades younger than her actual age. Many estimated she appeared to be only 35–40 years old.

Lee admitted that she used to worry about aging when she turned 30, but her outlook changed after passing 50.

“Now at 59, I feel I understand life better, know myself more clearly, and am more at ease than ever,” she said.

The actress, who is 1.65 meters tall and weighs 46 kg, attributed her youthful appearance to years of disciplined diet and exercise.

“I hope that even at 70, 80, or 90, I can still stay healthy enough to work out at the gym,” she said.

Before entering show business, Lee worked as a flight attendant for Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific.

She made her acting debut in 1990, but it was her portrayal of Xiao Long Nu in the 1995 television adaptation of Jin Yong’s “The Return of the Condor Heroes” that cemented her fame. Her performance received widespread acclaim, including praise from Jin Yong himself, who said Lee best embodied the character as he had imagined her.
