Ambati Rayudu goes crazy!! Alleges India won T20 World Cup 2024 by rigging it

Ahead of the Asia Cup 2025, former cricketer turned commentator Ambati Rayudu recalls how the widening of the boundary helped India seal their fortunes in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 as Suryakumar Yadav pulled off a stunner out of thin air.
India won the ICC T20 World Cup back in 2024; this was their first ICC title, ending a gap of 11 years since they last won the ICC Champions Trophy back in 2013 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, the veteran skipper.
Rohit Sharma then became the second captain with multiple ICC trophies, as he also won the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy with India.
However, the Rohit Sharma-led side's win in the World Cup T20 was not an easy affair, as it marked a moment where the Men in Blue looked much on the back foot and South Africa was easily driving home with just 30 runs needed in 30 balls, and their most destructive batters yet to arrive.
CSK star sends shockwaves-'Dethrones' India as World Champions ahead of Asia Cup 2025
In a recent interview, former CSK cricketer Ambati Rayudu, who has now turned to commentating after announcing his retirement, spoke about his experiences from the venue during the ICC tournament.
Shockingly, the former cricketer reveals that ropes were pulled back a little for the broadcaster's convenience, and just after the incident, David Miller launched Hardik for a straight hit, which was stunningly caught by Suryakumar Yadav.
"The broadcaster indirectly helped Surya with that catch; if the rope was inside, it was a clear six," Ambati Rayudu's statements implied.
He claimed that had the rope not been pulled back, the ball would have been already six. This seems a clear dig at the T20 World Cup triumph; the podcaster, however, turned things around, saying that this can be seen as God being in their favour.
