Food delivery giant Swiggy is all set to upgrade its delivery fleet with electric scooters, thanks to a new partnership with electric mobility firm Bounce. The move aims to cut costs for delivery partners, improve efficiency, and ensure more sustainable operations.
First Phase Rollout in Delhi-NCR and BengaluruUnder the deal, Bounce will introduce its EV scooters in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru within the next three months. These scooters will be available at special rates exclusively for Swiggy and Instamart delivery partners through both the Bounce app and Swiggy’s delivery partner app.
Swiggy said the collaboration will make electric mobility more affordable and accessible while reducing the carbon footprint of hyperlocal deliveries. The company is already working with 50+ EV partners nationwide, and the partnership with Bounce will further strengthen its green mobility push.
Expansion PlansSaurav Goyal, SVP (Driver and Delivery Organization) at Swiggy, said,
“This partnership with Bounce is a major step towards greener and more economical delivery. We plan to expand this collaboration to multiple cities in the coming months.”
Meanwhile, Swiggy recently increased its platform fee by ₹2, taking it to ₹14 per order. Over the past two years, this fee has risen 600% — from ₹2 in April 2023 to ₹14 in August 2025. The company cited increased demand during festivals as a key reason.
20 Lakh Orders a Day, Yet Losses MountSwiggy handles nearly 20 lakh orders daily, meaning the higher platform fee now generates crores in additional revenue every day. Despite this, the company posted a ₹1,197 crore loss in Q1 FY26 (June quarter), nearly double the ₹611 crore loss in Q1 FY25.
