Whatsapp has launched a call scheduling feature for Android and iOS, which establishes it as a strong rival of Google Meet and Zoom. This update declared on August 15, 2025 allows users to plan a voice or video call for individual or group chats, allowing coordination for individual and business use.

To schedule the call, tap on the “+” icon in the user call tab, choose “schedule call”, select date, time and call type (voice or video), and send invitation to contacts or groups. The expansion of the platform in video conferencing includes recent AI-operated features such as Meta AI Voice Support, which are currently in beta.
