Mahindra Vision X SUV: Mahindra is a big player in the SUV segment in the Indian automobile market. The company is known for its powerful and boxy designed vehicles such as Thar and Scorpio. But now Mahindra has introduced the new Mahindra Vision X SUV concept, showing a big change in her thinking and design philosophy. It was unveiled on the occasion of Freedom Nu event (15 August) held in Mumbai.

This SUV concept differs from the traditional design of Mahindra. It has a smooth surface, curvy body and modern touch instead of boxy and muscular shape. Its look is futuristic and has a different identity from the company’s other Vision T, Vision S and Vision SXT.

Design of Mahindra Vision X SUV

The Vision X SUV is designed for the B-SUV segment (sub-4 meter SUV). Its look is not a boxy but a sleek and aerodynamic, which makes it extremely modern.

Talking about the front profile, it has a split LED headlight setup. Above DRLs are installed and vertical LED projector is given below. There is a large X-pattern grill among them, on top of which a new twin pix logo of Mahindra has been installed.

This SUV looks even more attractive in side profiles. It has a chlameshell bonnet, flush door handles, floating roof effect, roof rails, fat C-pillar, square wheel arch and black body cladding. Dual-tone alloy wheels give the SUV even more premium look.

It has a split roof spiiler, connected LED taillight, vertical reflectors and sporty bumpers at the back. All these together make the SUV feel like the next generation of vehicles.

The interior of the SUV is as special as its design. Its dashboard and door trims are given in multi-layered design. There is no physical divider between the driver and the passenger, which makes the cabin look more open and modern.

The SUV has a twin 12.3-inch display setup-one for infotainment and the other for instrumentation. Its central console is clean and minimal, with cup holders and the gear shifter can be mounted in the steering column.

Other features include double d-cut steering wheel, head-up display and dual-zone climate control. It is believed that more advanced features will be added to the production model to make SUV Tech-Lavors and Modern Customers’ first choice.

Mahindra Vision X SUV’s Paurtrain

Mahindra has not yet shared information about the Poetrain of Vision X SUV. But it is likely that its production version will come with Ice (petrol and diesel engine) options. It can be given the option of both manual and automatic gearbox.

In the future, Mahindra can also introduce its electric version, as the company is already working on the Be Series and Born Electric platform. Many design elements to concept can also be seen in the production model.

This SUV reflects the new direction of Mahindra. Where earlier the company used to focus more on the boxy and off-roads, now with Vision X SUV it is moving towards more sleek, premium and tech-friendly design.
