Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah , one of the longest-running sitcoms on Indian television, has recently been making headlines for its 17th anniversary celebrations and the introduction of new characters. However, amid all this, rumours have been circulating about Ambika Ranjankar , who plays Mrs. Hathi , possibly leaving the show.
It all started after fans spotted Ambika's character of Mrs Hathi missing from the show. This led to speculations about her exit from the TMKOC . Fans took to social media with assumptions and questioned whether she was the next cast member to bid farewell to the iconic sitcom. However, the actress cleared the air and dismissed her exit rumours.
During a chat with Tellychakkar, the actress refused the buzz of her exit and said, "No, I haven’t quit the show. I am very much a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.”
When the entertainment portal asked her about her sudden disappearance from the latest episodes, the actress shared, "Well, for some personal reasons, I was away. I needed some time for myself."
For the uninitiated, TMKOC will witness the entry of new characters on the show. Actors Dharti Bhatt, Kuldeep Gor, Akshaan Sehrawat, and Maahi Bhadra will be seen as Rupa Baditop, Ratan Binjola, Veer, and Bansari. As per the storyline, Ratan Binjola, a saree shop owner from Jaipur, will be played by Kuldeep Gor, while his wife Rupa Baditop, portrayed by Dharti Bhatt, will be seen as a homemaker who is also an influencer and content creator. Their children, Veer (Akshaan Sehrawat) and Bansari (Maahi Bhadra), will be the new kids in the society after Tapu Sena—bringing innocence, playfulness, and cheer to the neighbourhood.
