
A Saudi man has passed away after slipping from a steep slope in a mountainous area in Oman's Jabal Samhan, the Kingdom's embassy in Muscat said.
The embassy has identified the Saudi man as Saud bin Maadi Al-Qahtani, adding that it is coordinating with the competent authorities in the Sultanate to complete the procedures for transferring the body of the deceased to the Kingdom.
On Monday, Omani authorities said that a tragic incident took place when a tourist and mountain climbing enthusiast has died after slipping in the area.

Rescue and ambulance teams from the Sultanate's Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority in Dhofar Governorate, worked in cooperation with Omani citizens to respond to the emergency in the mountainous area located in the Wilayat of Mirbat.
