Hero Glamour X: All you need to know
The new Glamour X 125 shows just how far the bike has come from its early days as a plain commuter. It now wears a far more aggressive look, with a sharp front fairing and sleek LED headlamp that give it an edgy face. Other changes include a new sculpted fuel tank with muscular shrouds, dual-tone colours and fresh graphics. The bike will be offered in five colour options: Matt Magnetic Silver, Candy Blazing Red, Metallic Nexus Blue, Black Teal Blue and Black Pearl Red.
Powering the Glamour X 125 is a 124.7cc single-cylinder engine, the same unit that does duty in the Xtreme 125R. It develops 11.4 bhp at 8,250 rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, paired with a five-speed gearbox.Speaking of features, the Glamour X gets a new coloured LCD instrument cluster that packs in Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, distance-to-empty display and a gear position indicator. However, the biggest highlight is the addition of cruise control – a segment we generally get to see in cars or premium motorcycles. Other highlights include Ride-by-Wire throttle, three riding modes (Eco, Road, Power), Panic Brake Alert system, which flashes the tail-lamp under hard braking to warn vehicles behind, and also the low-battery kick-start capability.
