Aamir Khan’s brother, actor Faissal Khan, has once again stirred controversy with explosive revelations about his strained ties with the superstar and their family. During a press conference on August 18, Faissal opened up about why his family allegedly turned against him, years after he accused them of declaring him mentally unstable.

Faissal revealed that in August 2002, he got married, only to divorce by December the same year. He claimed that after his divorce, his family began pressuring him to marry his mother’s first cousin—his aunt—something he strongly resisted. “I never wanted that. I was focused on my work and not interested at all. Because of this, I had many arguments with my family. My mother got angry because I refused to marry my aunt,” he said.

He further alleged that when tensions escalated, he wrote a letter mentioning personal details about his family, including sister Nikkhat’s multiple marriages, Aamir’s past with Reena Dutta, his alleged affair with Jessica Hines, and his live-in relationship with Kiran Rao. “I wrote all this in the letter, so they became angry with me. Then everyone turned against me and said, ‘Declare him mad,’” Faissal claimed.

The feud between Faissal and Aamir has been ongoing for years. In an earlier interview, Faissal alleged that Aamir and the family locked him inside the house for over a year and declared that he had schizophrenia, calling him a danger to society. In response, Aamir and several family members issued a joint statement describing Faissal’s claims as “hurtful and misleading.” The statement was signed by Reena Datta, Kiran Rao, Junaid Khan, Ira Khan, Imran Khan, Mansoor Khan, Nuzhat Khan, and other close relatives.

Following this, Faissal announced on Instagram that he had severed all ties with the family. “With a heavy heart yet renewed courage, I wish to share that I have severed all family ties… Life now enters a new chapter of freedom, dignity, and self-discovery,” he wrote.

On the professional front, faissal made his acting debut in pyar ka mausam (1969) and laater appeared in films such as qayamat se qayamat se qayamat tak, jeeta wohi sikandar, mela, and bordr hai. He was last seen in the 2022 kannada crime thriller oppanda.
