
Ahead of the Hero Asia Cup 2025, which will be held in Bihar for the first time, the Trophy Gaurav Yatra will pass through all the districts of the state to promote the continental tournament to be held in Rajgir from 29 August to 7 September. To spread the passion of hockey among the people, the Trophy Gaurav Yatra, starting from August 17, will travel through all the districts of Bihar as well as the states of Chennai, Chandigarh (Punjab, Haryana), Delhi, Odisha, Assam and Jharkhand.
This yatra aims to ignite interest in hockey among the youth, promote sports culture and ensure public participation in this historic event. After visiting Patna, Vaishali, and Bhojpur, the Trophy Gaurav Yatra reached Buxar, Muzaffarpur and Motihari on Tuesday. The trophy was given a grand welcome in all the districts.
In the welcome ceremony organised at Buxar Collectorate, Buxar District Magistrate Dr Vidyanand Singh, Superintendent of Police Shubham Arya, who was the chief guest, explained to the people the importance of the Asia Cup’s organisation in Bihar.

A large number of players and local people also greeted and welcomed the trophy and the players who went on the yatra with great enthusiasm. District Magistrate of Muzaffarpur Subrata Sen, District Sports Officer Rajendra Kumar, Physical Teacher Ram Kumar Rai, Karunesh Kumar and a large number of players and local people present welcomed the Trophy Gaurav Yatra in a welcome ceremony organised at Muzaffarpur Collectorate. The District Magistrate encouraged the players by playing hockey.

In the Trophy Gaurav Yatra welcome ceremony organised at Sports Bhawan cum Gymnasium in Motihari, Motihari District Magistrate Saurabh Jorwal, District Sports Officer Shubham Kumar, District Development Commissioner Saurabh Suman Yadav, along with players and local people, gave a grand welcome to the trophy.
District Magistrate Saurabh Jorwal explained the importance of the Hero Asia Cup in detail and encouraged the players by playing hockey. The people of the districts where the Trophy Gaurav Yatra is going are welcoming it with full enthusiasm and zeal. Passing through all the districts of Bihar, the Trophy Gaurav Yatra will reach Rajgir by August 29.
