Roston Chase made an all-rounder performance, helping the Saint Lucia Kings to secure a 3-run victory against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots on Wednesday’s clash.

He went on to score 61 runs and bag two wickets to claim their first win in the CPL 2025.  With this win, they climbed to the top of the CPL 2025 points table.

Batting first, Johnson Charles and Tim Seifert opened the innings for Saint Lucia Kings while Kyle Mayers opened the bowling attack.

Despite Mayers dismissing Tim Seifert and Ackeem Auguste for 13 and 0 respectively, Johsn Charles went on to make a solid knock.

with Roston Chase joining Charles, the duo went on to slam fifties before the latter went on to get dismissed by Salamkheil for 52 runs.

Tim David formed a partnership with Chase as the duo forged a 86 run partnership as Chase went bag to dug out after being dismissed by 61 runs.

Holder’s 46 runs and Delano Potgieter’s 13 run contribution helped the side to post 200 runs in the 20 over innings.

Kyle Mayers, Fazalhaq Farooqi and Waqar Salamkheil went on to bag two wickets each while Naseem Shah and Holder picked one wicket each.

In the pursuit of chasing 201 run target, Andre Fletcher and Kyle Mayers opened the innings while Keon Gaston opened the bowling attack.

With Wiese dismissing Kyle Mayers for 13 runs, Fletcher scored 25 runs before Pierre sent him back to dug out.

He went on to dismiss Mikyle Louis for 2 runs as St Kitts and Nevis Patriots score 49 runs in the powerplay.

Rile Rossouw’s dismissal for 11 runs left Patriots struggle with 61 runs for four wickets. However Navian Bidaise and Jason Holder went on to make fifties and forged a 77 run partnership for the fifth wicket.

Chase stopped Holder’s aggressive approach dismissing him for 63 runs which included 3 fours and 6 sixes.

Despite Jyd Coolie’ 15 runs and Bidaisee’s 50 runs, the side lost the game by 3 runs as they scored 197 runs at St Kitts. Roston Chase was named as the Player of the Match.

Saint Lucia Kings will play their next game against Trinbago Knight Riders on August 23 at Daren Sammy National Cricket StadiumGros Islet, St Lucia.
