Synopsis

Google has launched its new Pixel 10 series and Pixel Watch 4 at the Made by Google event in New York. The phones come with Gemini AI features like Magic Cue, and the watch adds smart tools and better battery life. With new designs and upgrades, Google aims to compete strongly in the smartphone and smartwatch market.

On Wednesday, Google held its “Made by Google” event in New York City and announced new Pixel phones and a new Pixel Watch. The new Pixel 10 series has four phones: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. All these devices come with Google’s latest Gemini AI features. Phones get Magic Cue, while the watch gets better smart replies.

The entry-level Pixel 10 starts at $799. This model now has three rear cameras instead of two. It includes a 5x telephoto camera. It has a 6.3-inch display, runs on the new Tensor G5 processor, comes with 12GB RAM, and offers up to 256GB storage, as reported by Yahoo Finance.

Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL features

The Pixel 10 Pro starts at $999. It has a sharper 6.3-inch display and a more advanced triple-camera system. Like the Pixel 10, it runs on the Tensor G5 chip but has 16GB RAM instead of 12GB and offers up to 512GB storage. This phone is almost the same as the Pro but has a bigger 6.8-inch display and a slightly larger battery.

Google says the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL all promise more than 30 hours of battery life. Google’s foldable, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, has a bigger 6.4-inch front screen because of smaller bezels. It also has a stronger design and is now water- and dust-resistant with a new hinge system. When you open the phone, it shows a huge 8-inch display, which can be used for watching videos, playing games, or working, as stated by Yahoo Finance.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is going up against Samsung’s new Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is thinner and lighter. But Google beats Samsung on price: Pixel Pro Fold is $1,799, while Z Fold 7 costs $1,999. Magic Cue can understand context. For example, if a friend texts asking about dinner reservations, it can pull the info from Gmail and suggest a reply.

If you call your airline about a flight, Magic Cue can show your travel details on screen, so you don’t need to search across apps. The Weather app connects with Calendar. If you save a trip to Yellowstone, it will not only show if it will rain but also give tips like how to keep electronics dry, as per the report by Yahoo Finance.

Pixel Watch 4 with new safety features

Google says Magic Cue does not send data to the cloud. All info stays in a secure enclave on the phone, and apps cannot see it unless you give permission. Alongside phones, Google showed the new Pixel Watch 4.It has a domed display with a larger viewing area and 25% better battery life.

The LTE version of the watch is the first commercial smartwatch that can use emergency satellite communication. This helps people who are hiking or lost in places without signal. The watch will come in 41mm and 45mm versions and starts at $349. Google said its hardware is not mainly for revenue but to show off its software and support its platform partners, as per the reports.

Even though hardware is not its main business, Google’s Pixel phones are already known for quality and performance. Now, the big question is whether the new Pixel 10 lineup will live up to that reputation, as mentioned by Yahoo Finance.
