According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is likely at some places in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar during the next 7 days. Vidarbha on 25th and 26th; Heavy rainfall is likely at some places in Odisha, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal during 21-25 August.

Very heavy rainfall may occur at some places over Jharkhand on 22nd, Bihar on 22nd and 23rd and Chhattisgarh on 25th and 26th August.

Till August 23, winds will blow at a speed of 40 to 50 in western India

According to the IMD, strong surface winds (speed 40-50 kmph) are likely over West India till August 23. While light to moderate rainfall is likely at most/many places over the region during the next 7 days.

There will be heavy rain during the next 7 days

According to IMD, heavy rainfall is likely at some places in Jammu and Kashmir during 22 to 26 August; Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan for the next 7 days; East Uttar Pradesh during 22 to 25 August; Punjab, Haryana during 22 to 26 August; Very heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Western Rajasthan on 23 and 24 August. Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh during 23 to 25 August; Punjab, Haryana and East Rajasthan are likely to receive extremely heavy rainfall on 23 August. While during the next 7 days, light/moderate rain, thunderstorms and lightning are likely at most/many places in Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan.

There will be heavy rain in these states including Assam for the next 7 days

Heavy rain is likely at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh for the next 7 days. Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Mizoram are likely to receive extremely heavy rainfall during 21 to 24 August and Assam and Meghalaya during 21 to 23 August. While light/moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at many places during the next 3 days.
