India retaliated
Now Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal has retaliated on Bangladesh’s allegations. He said that the Government of India has not received any information about any anti -Bangladesh activity in India by Awami League. India does not allow political activities against any country from its land.
Jaiswal has denied the allegations made by the interim government of Bangladesh. Along with this, he said that India wants independent and fair elections to be held in Bangladesh as soon as possible, so that the will of the people can be known.
What did Bangladesh say?
The Bangladesh government had expressed concern over the opening of office by members of Awami League in New Delhi and Kolkata. The statement said that these activities “weaken the principles of good neighbors and foreign policy”.
