Soni Razdan and Saba Azad's much-awaited film Songs of Paradise is all set to make its digital debut. The makers have officially announced the release date of the film. The movie is inspired by the life and songs of Raj Begum (1927-2016), a legendary singer from Kashmir. Raj Begum was a trailblazer who pursued her dreams at a time when women had very few rights and opportunities, especially in the arts.
Songs of Paradise first look out
Today (August 21), the makers unveiled the release date and first look of the film. From the echoes of Kashmir, Song of Paradise will be released on August 29 on Amazon Prime Video. The film is set to bring to light the inspiring story of the first female singer at Radio Kashmir, a station located in the valley of Kashmir. Often called “paradise on earth” for its stunning landscapes, Kashmir has also faced many challenges over the years. This film explores the life of a woman who dared to follow her passion for music in such difficult times.
The film not only tells her personal journey but also highlights how she and other women broke social barriers and challenged stereotypes in a conservative society.
Actress Saba Azad, known for her role in the series Rocket Boys, plays the lead character, portraying the courage and spirit of this remarkable woman. The film also features an impressive supporting cast, including Soni Razdan, Zain Khan Durrani, Taaruk Raina, Sheebha Chaddha, Shishir Sharma, and Lillette Dubey.
