Former India fast bowler Ajit Agarkar was decided by BCCI to increase the contract before IPL 2025. Which he has accepted after the team selection of the Asia Cup. Now he will remain on this post till June 2026.
Agarkar was appointed as the head of the selection committee in 2023 and during his tenure, the Indian men’s team won the 2024 ICC Men T20 World Cup and ended the drought of the ICC Trophy. Earlier this year, she also won the ICC Champions Trophy and also made it to the finals of the 2023 ODI World Cup, where the Indian team was runner -up.
