According to the new policy of the Ministry, India’s stance on sports events to Pakistan will be based on its overall policy. India’s teams will no longer play any bilateral series in Pakistan nor will Pakistan’s teams come to India and play such matches. However, it will not affect multilateral tournaments like Asia Cup or World Cup and India will continue to participate in them.

Sports ministry on ind vs pak series: The Asia Cup will be played from 9 September. Earlier, the Sports Ministry has taken a big decision. The Sports Ministry has clearly stated that no bilateral (bilateral) series will be played between India and Pakistan. But India will not be prevented from playing in the multi -team tournament format.
India and Pakistan are to face on 14 September in the Asia Cup. Prior to this match, the Sports Ministry said that it would not stop playing against Pakistan. The Ministry unveiled the new policy regarding India’s international competitions which have been made with special care on Pakistan. Sources said that this policy has come into force with immediate effect.
Sports Ministry sources said that we will not stop the Indian cricket team from playing in the Asia Cup as it is a tournament of many countries. But Pakistan will not be allowed to come on Indian land for bilateral competitions. But we will not stop them from playing in the multilateral tournament as we will follow the Olympic charter. He said that Pakistan will benefit only by not playing us. We have to defeat him on the border and also on the playground.
Asked if the Indian team will be sent to play in Pakistan in the tournament of many countries, the source said that in such a situation we will decide whether we have to go or not. The country of a country whose minister says that our truck is full of stone and India is Mercedes and who will suffer loss due to collision, how can we send our players in such a country.
Refusing security reasons behind the withdrawal of Oman’s name from Asia Cup hockey from next week in Bihar, the source said that this is not the reason. Oman is not backward due to security reasons. (With language input)
