
New Delhi: Former Pakistan batsman Basit Ali is surprised to exclude Shreyas Iyer, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Mohammad Siraj and Mohammed Shami from Team India’s Asia Cup Squad. The BCCI has announced a 15 -member team for this prestigious tournament. The Indian board appointed Shubman Gill as the vice -captain of the team led by Suryakumar Yadav. While Jaiswal has been included in five reserve players. The remaining three players were completely ignored by the selectors. The Asia Cup will be held in UAE from 9 September. India will play its first match from UAE on 10 September.

Basit Ali said that if Shreyas Iyer, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Mohammad Shami (Mohammed Shami) and Mohammad Siraj used to play for Pakistan (Pakistan), then Va was in ‘A’ category. Due to which India has a glut of talent in T20 format. Specifically speaking when Iyer was not included in the team, Basit accused the BCCI of doing injustice to the player.
