Sanjay Patel, who was already married, got upset with Rachna’s marriage pressure. He along with his nephew Sandeep Patel and friend Pradeep made a dangerous plan to kill Rachna. Rachna’s body was cut into seven pieces, its parts were filled in sacks and thrown into the river and well. Rachna had two marriages earlier, but the two relationships could not stand. After this she was tied in a love affair with Sanjay Patel.

Life of Rachna: Two weddings, then love

Rachna Yadav, a resident of Malwara village of Chandera police station area of ​​Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh, was first married in Tikamgarh. They have two children from this marriage. Five years later, she moved to her maternal home due to a dispute with her husband. There he met Shivraj Yadav of Maheba village in Jhansi. Rachna started coming to Maheba with him. But here too, the relationship got sour. In the year 2023, Rachna lodged an FIR accusing Shivraj’s elder brother of rape and attempt to murder, including Shivraj’s name. She used to go to Garautha court to advocate the case, where she met the then village head Sanjay Patel. The closeness between the two soon increased.

Second husband went, pressure on Sanjay

In June this year, Rachna’s second husband Shivraj died. Now the composition was completely free and he started pressurizing Sanjay to marry. Sanjay, who already had his wife and two sons, was not ready for marriage. Fed up with the threats of Rachna, Sanjay decided to remove him from the road. He, along with his nephew and friend, committed this heinous crime.

Murder and body pieces

On 9 August 2025, Sanjay called Rachna on the pretext of meeting and strangled her. After this, the accused cut the body into seven pieces and threw the head and legs into the Lakheri river to erase the identity. On August 13, the police started investigation after getting some part of the body. Sanjay and his nephew Sandeep were arrested, while Pradeep is still absconding. 10 police teams were set up to resolve the case.

Call details opened secrets

Rachna’s brother Deepak searched his sister a lot, but did not find any clue. His phone was also closed. Deepak Todi reached Fatehpur and gave the police number of composition. The police put the number on surveillance, which revealed the conversation of Rachna several times with Sanjay Patel. Sanjay was missing from the house, but the police raided and caught him. In strict inquiries, he confessed to the murder.

Brother’s pain: Sanjay lied first

Deepak told that when he called Sanjay, he kept saying that Rachna is ill and he would talk to him. But on Deepak’s insistence, Sanjay angrily confessed that he killed Rachna. At first, Deepak could not believe his point, but later the police investigation exposed all the truth.

Police’s hard work paid off

The police team, which resolves this heinous murder in seven days, is being praised. DIG Keshav Chaudhary has given a reward of 50 thousand rupees to the police team. At the same time, SP RA Dr. Arvind Kumar also gave a cash prize of 20 thousand rupees.
