India vs Pakistan, Asia Cup 2025: A big statement of the Sports Ministry has come out before the ACC Mains Asia Cup 2025. According to PTI, the Sports Ministry has said that India will not participate in competitions in Pakistan, nor will we allow Pakistani teams to play bilateral matches in India. The Sports Ministry has said that the Indian cricket team will not be stopped from playing in the Asia Cup.

According to India’s policy towards international sports events, India’s approach to sports events to Pakistan reflects its overall policy in practice with that country. As far as bilateral sports events are concerned in each other’s country, Indian teams will not participate in competitions in Pakistan. Nor will we allow Pakistani teams to play in India. In relation to international and multilateral events in India or abroad, we are directed by the functioning of international sports bodies and the interests of our players. It is also relevant to keep in mind the emergence of India as a reliable place to host international sports events. Accordingly, Indian teams and individual players will participate in international events including Pakistan’s teams or players. Similarly, Pakistani players and teams will be able to participate in such multilateral events organized by India.

To establish India as a favorite destination for hosting international sports events, the visa process will be simplified for players, team officials, technical personnel and officials of international sports governing bodies. Officers of international sports governing bodies will be provided multi-entry visa on a priority basis for their official tenure period, which will be subject to a maximum period of five years. This will facilitate their easy movement in the country and within the country, according to international criteria. According to established practice, heads of international sports governing bodies will be provided with appropriate protocols and etiquette during their visit to India.
