
Hero MotoCorp has launched the Glamour X, the most featurerich version in the Glamour range. Hero claims it to be the most futuristic 125cc bike in the market. It competes with TVS Raider, the current segment leader when it comes to features. Let us put this claim to test and compare Hero Glamour X with TVS Raider.
Hero Glamour X vs TVS Raider: Features
Let us compare the list of features offered in both bikes first. While Raider has been the undisputed leader in the 125cc segment of motorcycles as far as features go, the Glamour X has pipped it with the addition of cruise control. It also comes with a host of electronic riding aids such as RidebyWire, three ride modes, a Panic Brake Alert system, and a lowbattery kickstart.
Another key feature is a new 4.2inch multicolour fully digital LCD instrument cluster with over 60 functions including Bluetooth connectivity, turnbyturn navigation, adaptive brightness, fuel efficiency, range to empty, etc.
In comparison, the Raider gets either a reverse LCD instrument panel or a with over 85 features or a TFT console with 99 features, based on the choice of variant. Other important features offered include voice assist, onthego call management, navigation, onconsole notifications, and more. Common features for both bikes include LED lighting, USB charging port, and a side stand engine cut off switch.
Hero Glamour X vs TVS Raider: Powertrain & Hardware specs
Powering Hero Glamour X is a 124.7cc singlecylinder aircooled engine that produces 11.4 bhp and 10.4 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, TVS Raider 125 is propelled by a 124.8cc air/oilcooled engine that generates 11.3 bhp and 11.75 Nm of torque. Transmission duties on both bikes are carried out by a 5speed gearbox.

The Glamour X rides on 18inch wheels, larger than the 17inch units offered on the TVS Raider. Tyre dimensions stand at 80/100 (front) and 100/80 (rear) for the Glamour X, while the Raider gets 80/100 (front) and 100/90 (rear). Both bikes feature telescopic front forks, but differ at the rear—dual shock absorbers on the Glamour X versus a gascharged monoshock on the Raider. Both models are available in drum as well as disc brake variants.
