The pageant took place on the evening of Aug. 17. Vishwakarma’s gown came from Song Toan, the brand founded by designers Pham Si Toan and Huynh Bao Toan.
Designer Si Toan said the dress was inspired by the galaxy, with stars symbolizing the Miss Universe pageant. The gown featured a sheer mesh base and was hand-embellished with thousands of crystals and Swarovski stones to create sparkling highlights.
Bao Toan added that Vishwakarma reached out to them close to the competition date, prompting the team to mobilize extra staff to complete the gown in time. During the same pageant, several contestants also requested evening gowns from Song Toan, leading the designers to fly to India to oversee fittings and make adjustments as needed.
Vishwakarma, who was previously crowned Miss Universe Rajasthan 2024, currently resides in Delhi and is a final-year student of Political Science and Economics. She is also a classical dancer and painter. She will represent India at the 74th Miss Universe, scheduled to take place in Thailand this November.
Over the years, Song Toan, established in 2015, has dressed numerous beauty queens, including Miss Vietnam 2016 Do My Linh and Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 H’Hen Nie.
