Update Whatsapp:
First of all, make sure that your mobile has the latest version of WhatsApp. You can update the app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Follow the common method of posting the status:
Open Whatsapp and go to the ‘Status’ tab. From there tap on the ‘+’ icon and select a photo or video that you want to put on the status.

Tap on HD icon:
After selecting the media, you will see a small ‘HD’ button at the top. Tap on it.

Choose quality:
After tapping on HD, the app will give you two options – ‘Standard Quality’ and ‘HD Quality’. Choose HD Quality and then tap on ‘Send’.
