Florida police are still looking into the death of wrestling star Hulk Hogan, who died last month at the age of 71. The medical examiner said that his death was caused by a heart attack, but the police are still looking over records and talking to witnesses before they make a final report.

After paramedics and police raced to his Clearwater beachfront home after receiving a 911 call, Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, passed away at the age of 71 in a hospital on July 24.

While the investigation is ongoing, neither the call nor the police body camera footage of the scene has been made public, as per a repot by The AP.

According to the police statement, “All of this takes time.” “Until the investigation is completed, no records related to the case, including body camera footage, can be released."

In a statement to TMZ Sports on Thursday, the Clearwater Police Department stated that the investigation into Hulk Hogan's death is still ongoing. "We have been in communication with family members -- including his son, Nick, and daughter, Brooke. The unique nature of this case has required us to interview multiple witnesses and seek medical records from a variety of providers, and our detectives continue to do that. All of this takes time.”

"The Hogan family has been appreciative of our efforts and our communication with them." The wrestling legend's phrenic nerve was "compromised" during one of his recent surgeries, according to Sky, his widow, who spoke to TMZ Sports.

She also mentioned that Hogan had undergone an autopsy, but she would not disclose the findings. Additionally, according to Sky, Hogan's body has not yet been cremated, as per a report by TMZ Sports.

According to sources involved in the death case, Hulk Hogan may have been the victim of medical malpractice, which could have resulted in his death. According to the Clearwater PD police report about the 911 response to the Hulk's home on the day of his death, an occupational therapist was at the wrestling legend's Florida home when his breathing stopped, law enforcement sources tell TMZ Sports.

The "lockdown" report claims that the therapist informed responding officers that Hulk had been the victim of medical malpractice. The diaphragm, which regulates breathing, is stimulated by the phrenic nerve. Brooke, Hulk's daughter, has requested an autopsy.

It's unclear exactly what the police investigation is looking into outside of medical records because the police have previously stated that there was no evidence of foul play in Hogan's death.

According to the medical examiner's report, which determined that Hogan's cause of death was natural, he had previously suffered from leukaemia and atrial fibrillation, an irregular heart rhythm, as per areport by The AP.

Hogan, who was well-known for both his outrageous personality and his wrestling exploits, was arguably the biggest star in the lengthy history of the WWE.
