The Uttar Pradesh Gau Seva Commission has tied up with Patanjali Yogpeeth to spread cow protection , Panchgavya products , natural farming , and biogas development throughout the state, as per a report by UNI.
The deal was held after talks between Commission chairman Shyam Bihari Gupta, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, and Patanjali Co-Founder Acharya Balkrishna in Haridwar, officials said.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who has consistently emphasized that the cow is the fulcrum of village advancement, has also endorsed the scheme. Patanjali Yogpeeth has assured complete technical support to work on the programme.
As part of the scheme, two to ten cow shelters in each of the 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh will be established as big model centres. These shall function not only as conservation centres but also as rural industry centres, propelling Panchgavya product production and biogas. Open sheds, fencing, and security arrangement infrastructure will be made stronger for allowing the free movement of cattle.
The program is also likely to release major rural jobs. Cow urine collection and sale will be done by villagers on a 50 percent commission basis. Training, quality check, formulation, certification, and licensing assistance will be given by Patanjali.
For the modernization of activities, technologies like geo-fencing, cow tagging, photo mapping, and fodder inventory tracking will be employed in shelters. In parallel, natural inputs like neem, cow urine, and vermicompost will be provided to villages to reduce farming expenses, improve soil fertility, and enhance environmental sustainability.
