
New Delhi. Former Indian Cricket Team, former head coach Rahul Dravid, shared interesting things about Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. Dravid said that Rohit was not only a strategic captain, but was a leader who gave priority to the team at all times and showed deep care for the players. Dravid shared important glimpses of his tenure during a conversation on the YouTube show of Ravichandran Ashwin. He told that Rohit was very clear from the day and how to take the team forward.
Dravid said, ‘I always felt that Rohit cares in the team very deeply. From the very first day, he was clear how the atmosphere should be and in which direction the team has to move forward. It is clear from this statement that Rohit was not only captaincy, but also believed in creating an atmosphere by joining every player of the team, where everyone considered themselves important.

Rahul Dravid also highlighted the relationship between captain and coach in this interview. He said, ‘I believe that the team should be the captain. The coach role is to support the captain. It was an ease in working with Rohit that he used to decide the direction and I supported him. According to Dravid, the decisions of Rohit’s clean vision made the decisions easier. Whether it is team selection or a strategy, the former coach said that his conversation with Rohit was always transparent.
Dravid also stated that his and Rohit’s relationship was not limited to professional level only. Many times both used to talk out of cricket outside the field. It also had a positive impact on the environment of the individual engagement team. He said, ‘The conversation with Rohit was always enjoyable. Apart from cricket, we used to discuss many things. Because of this our relationship became even stronger.
Rahul Dravid’s words indicate that Rohit Sharma is a captain who pays attention to not only strategy and performance, but also human aspects. The biggest feature of his captaincy was to handle the team like a family. Rohit knew in which direction to take the team. For this, he gave importance to every player.
