HOKEY ASIA CUP 2025: A three -member Indian team has been announced on Wednesday for the Hockey Asia Cup, which is the host of India. The tournament will be played from August 29 to September 7. Harmanpreet Singh will have the team’s smoke. The Indian women’s hockey team has now been announced for the Women’s Hockey Asia Cup for the men’s team. The Hockey Asia Cup will be held in Hangzhou from China from September 7 to 8. A six -member Indian women’s hockey team led by veteran Midfielder Salima Tette has been announced on Thursday for the tournament.

This competition is very important for India because the winner of the winner will qualify for the FIH Women’s Hockey World Cup. India has been replaced by Pool B, where the match will be held with Japan, Thailand and Singapore. The team will launch a campaign against Thailand on September 7 and then face Japan on September 7. India will play its last bridge match against Singapore on September 7.

At a press release issued by Hockey India, head coach Harendra Singh said, “We look forward to the team we have chosen for the Women’s Asia Cup in Hangzhou. Salima has been an integral part of the team since last year as captain. This team is practicing harsh and we have tried to find the right balance between experienced players and young talented players. Our attention will be on aggressive and disciplined hockey toys and we believe that the team has the ability to compete strongly against the best teams in Asia.

The team has a balanced mix of young and experienced players in which Bansari Solanki and Bichu Devi Kharbam are responsible for goalkeeping. In the defense, there will be veteran players like Nikki Pradhan and Udita who will have young players with the help of Manisha Chauhan, Jyoti, Suman Devi Akam and Ishika Chaudhary. There are strong players like Neha, Salima, Lalimasamia, Sharmila Devi, Sunilita Topo and Vaishnavi Vitthal Phalke in the central area.
