Reliance Infrastructure Ltd. (Reliance Infra) has announced the sale of its Pune-Satara Toll Road project to Singapore-based Cube Highways and Infrastructure III Pte Ltd. for an enterprise value of around Rs 2000 crore. Reliance Infra To Sell Pune Satara Toll Road Project After the transaction is completed Cube Highways will acquire a 100% stake in PS Toll Road Pvt. Ltd. the special purpose vehicle (SPV) operating the 140-km six-lane expressway between Pune and Satara on National Highway NH-4 (now NH-48). It was developed under the Build-Operate-Transfer (Toll) model. The project links the Golden Quadrilateral which connects Mumbai and Bengaluru. Toll operations began in October 2010. How Reliance Infra Will Benefit From This? As part of the transaction Reliance Infrastructure is expected to realize equity proceeds of Rs 600 crore. The funds will be strategically deployed towards future growth initiatives in core business areas.  In addition to value realization the transaction is expected to result in a reduction of consolidated debt by Rs 1400 crore thereby further strengthening the Company’s balance sheet. Reliance Infrastructure continues to maintain a zero-debt position on a standalone basis reaffirming its commitment to disciplined capital structure and prudent financial management.  Calling the sale a “significant milestone” the company said the transaction aligns with its strategy to monetise non-core assets enhance financial flexibility and drive long-term value creation. How Reliance Infra Operates On Tolls? This is Reliance Infra’s second toll road deal with Cube Highways. In 2020 the company sold its Delhi-Agra Toll Road project to Cube Highways for ₹3600 crore.
