Cancer can occur due to many reasons, but experts believe that about one-third of cancers can be prevented by adopting a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Sadvik Raghuram , a well-known oncologist , said that some simple changes can make a big difference in your health and can also reduce the risk of cancer to a great extent.

He says that we should make our body more healthy and strong by changing our daily habits, which increases the ability to fight serious diseases like cancer. According to Dr. Raghuram , the more we improve our diet, exercise and sleep, the stronger our body will be and the risk of cancer will be reduced.

First of all, he stressed on avoiding processed or readymade food. It is important to reduce processed meats and foods while promoting fresh green vegetables and fruits in your diet. In this way the body gets the necessary nutrients that help fight cancer.

Another important thing is the use of sunscreen. This is important for skin protection not only in summer or sun but also on cloudy days or indoors. Applying sunscreen reduces the effect of UV rays on the skin, which can reduce the risk of skin cancer.

The third advice is to do at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day, such as brisk walking, yoga or dancing. Regular exercise not only keeps the body fit but also helps in increasing immunity, which is necessary to fight diseases like cancer.

Fourthly, the doctor advised avoiding sitting for long periods of time. It is important to move the body continuously so that blood circulation remains good and muscles do not weaken. While working in the office, getting up in between and walking a little or doing stretching is beneficial for health.

Finally, let's focus on the importance of sleep. Getting 7-8 hours of good sleep every day reduces stress, reduces inflammation in the body, and improves your immune system. Good sleep not only keeps your mental health good but also keeps your body healthy.
