A few days ago, we reported that filmmaker Mudassar Aziz is busy preparing for his next directorial project, Pati, Patni Aur Woh Do. The film will feature Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles.

However, the latest update suggests that the director is also ready to take on a new responsibility behind the camera. Aziz is reportedly stepping into the producer’s chair once again, marking his third venture as a producer after backing Happy Bhag Jayegi and Double XL.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, Mudassar Aziz will be producing a comedy film titled Zamana Kya Kahega. The movie will star Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, and Fardeen Khan in prominent roles. Interestingly, this casting brings the trio back together after their recent outing in Khel Khel Mein, which was also helmed by Aziz.

A source told the website, “Zamana Kya Kahega will be directed by Amit Roy and will feature Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, and Ammy Virk in lead roles. The film will go on floors in September 2025 with a start to finish schedule, and release in the cinema halls in 2026.”

The source adds, “Much like Happy Bhaag Jayegi, this one too is an event based comedy, where situations pile up one after the other leading to humour. The subject was discussed by Mudassar with Taapsee, Fardeen, and Ammy on the sets of Khel Khel Mein, and the trio has been on board ever since then.”

Zamana Kya Kaega has been penned by Mudassar Aziz himself and will also mark the directorial debut of noted cinematographer Amit Roy. Roy, who has built an impressive career behind the camera with films such as Dunki, Animal, and the upcoming Deva, is now ready to step into the director’s chair.

The project is set to be filmed across India and the United Kingdom, giving it a mix of vibrant and international backdrops. To ensure everything runs smoothly, the team has already completed a detailed recce of the shooting locations, finalising spots that will add depth and scale to the story.
