Varaha jayanti 2025: Ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu have deep importance in Hinduism. Varaha avatar is the third incarnation. This festival comes on Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month and it is considered to be the day of salvation of Prithvi Mata.

Varaha Jayanti, which is falling on 25 August 2025, is a festival of protecting Goddess, faith and earth. On this day, fasting and worshiping brings stability in life and the grace of Lord Vishnu remains. According to beliefs, this festival gives the message that whenever unrighteousness will increase. Date and auspicious time

According to the Panchang, the Tritiya Tithi of Varaha Jayanti 2025 will start on August 25 at 12.35 pm and will end on August 26 at 1.54 pm. The most auspicious time of worship will be from 1.40 pm to 4.15 pm. In this period, worshiping the Varaha form of Lord Vishnu is considered particularly fruitful.

Mythology: Earth's salvation

According to the legend, Daityaraja Hiranyaksha hid the earth with his elusive powers to the Hades. Devta became helpless and the balance of the universe deteriorated. Then Lord Vishnu wore Varaha avatar. Taking the form of a giant sugar, he landed in the ocean. Slaughter Hiranyaksha with his strength and sharp and took the earth on the teeth and brought it out of the water. He secured the creation by installing the earth again in the sky. Thus the Varaha avatar is considered a symbol of protecting religion and re -establishment of justice.

Worship method

On the day of Varaha Jayanti, devotees take a resolution of fast by bathing in the morning. Purity is established by spraying Ganga water at the place of worship. The idol or picture of Lord Vishnu is anointed with Panchamrit. Mantras are chanted by offering yellow flowers, sandalwood, Tulsidal and naivedya. ॐ Varahaay Namah's 108 times chanting gives auspicious results. After fasting throughout the day, narrative reading and aarti are performed at night. There is also a tradition of lamp donation in many places. It is considered a symbol of honor and blessings of Mother Earth.

Varaha Jayanti is not only a celebration but it reminds us that whenever there is a crisis on the earth, Lord Vishnu has appeared in some form and established a balance.
